CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Al-Qaida in Iraq warned Pope Benedict XVI on Monday that its war against Christianity and the West will go on until Islam takes over the world, and Iran's supreme leader called for more protests over the pontiff's remarks on Islam.

The extremists' reactions are sad and ironic, but I understand their anger. The world's most influential leader called their prophet a bloodthirsty despot.

The Pope did not call their prophet anything. The Pope was quoting someone else in trying to make a point. These people are showing the world that, had the Pope suggested that the prophet was a bloodthirsty despot, he was most likely correct. Their reaction to this is uncivilized. War against X-tianity? There has always been a war against x-tianity and wars against any other religion BY x-tianity. In my humble opinion, those who believe in any "sacred text" as the word of GOD and/or follow a faith blindly are all mental cases.

Who are the Islamic extremists going to have to kill when they've wiped all non-Muslims off the fact of the earth? Their whole existence is about being in opposition to others, for the sake of opposition.

I hope Christians should stop giving importance to these Godless Muslim fanatics, they are useless people not worth
your attention. In my 70 years on this wonderful world of ours
I still have to meet one decent muslim, one that can apololize
to Christians for their insults, calling us infidels, and that
condemns all Muslim terrorists and not to justify their jihad
against Christians.
