Atheists don't believe in God, but that is the only generalization you can make about us.

just to make it clear not every one knows the differance between right and wrong (e.g sociopaths), it has to be learned by people. and if people beliving in religon is so moral why is over 99% of people in prison religous. people are who they are taught to be and who they want to be.

First of all crime and murder are part of any culture and no matter where you live as a child you're taught as a child by other humans

And a conscience is a subconscious part of the brain that develops as we age (not some thing that "God" gave us at birth). And u can't tell me that every one is born with the same conscience. A 2yo child has to be told not to kill bugs. Any ones ideology of right and wrong are very unique to each culture and its time period. Some cultures considered cannibalism ok, by your logic if we all have the same conscience all cultures should have evolved to have the same concept of right and wrong E.g. slavery is obviously considered immoral now but 200y.o most people didn't consider it immoral or wrong.

Even animals have instinct and knowledge about right and wrong it's why they can be trained but it doesn't mean they have the Ten Commandments installed in their head and their own bible.

So by this logic all the Hindus and the Buddhist (something over a billion people) are incapable of distinquishing right from wrong, handicapped as they are with the lack of the biblical Ten Commandments?

The ten commandments are only partly moralistic; some of them are merely Jahweh's jealous no-gods-before-me monotheism. Religion, or lack thereof, as the article says, tells one nothing about the morality of the person. Most civilized societies have followed the same moralistic rules, regardless of what the dominant religion was, even African and American Indian religions.

There are probably a few Christians reading these so I need to ask this. Why is it Christians feel the need to convert everyone who says that they might be wrong? And criticize others for believing differently?

If you want to believe in god or any one else, ok, whatever makes you happy but if some one doesn't want to then let them make up their mind about it.
