And yet, this is a simplicity based on irrationality and Christian privilege. What is religious intolerance, how should we recognize it, and is it a crime of which all atheists are guilty?

you want to see religious intollerence in its most extreme form take a look at the kingdom of saudi arabia or almost any arab islamic state. they treat jews and christians horribly. but jews bore the brunt of the intolerance and thats why most of the jews arent in arab states anymore. there fled to israel. most were forcibly evicted by military troops and a percentage were pushed out thought pogroms.
christians are pretty intolerant and i see some frightening reawakening of similar intolerance's againt jews that i thought were long gone. there coming back now and im rethinking how safe i am as a jew living in the USA.
