(((True wisdom comes from God))) There is no god and consequently no wisdom comes from a nonexistent god. Which explains why xtians exhibit so little wisdom, the proof is in the pudding and this ain't pudding.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. " Hebrews 4:12
I dont have enough faith to be an atheist....

Iwalknlight - "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword,...."
Let me give you one example of where the word of God is not so quick, powerful, and sharp.
Leviticus 11:20-22
All flying insects that walk on all fours are to be detestable to you. There are, however, some winged creatures that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket or grasshopper."
God should know that insects have six legs and therefore can not walk on all fours. With a simple mistake like that any intelligent and rational person will ask, "What else is wrong?"

What else is wrong, I'm glad you asked.
Is God A Criminal?
The bible god admits he performs evil acts.
A Christian wrote: "God did not create evil. Evil is simply the state where God is not present."
If "God did not create evil" then what of the following?
Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Exodus 32:14
And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Joshua 23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things.
Judges 9:23
Then God sent an evil spirit
1 Samuel 16:14
But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

not all insects have 6 legs some have 2,4,8,100 and 10000 . if you keep reading on statements like these in the bible are very common. If you want to read it just for the words instead of in the spirit you will never understand Gods word or spirituality.Besides In the bible Isaiah and Job it told us the world was round way before 1st grade tought you.You should go to the book store and pick up a book called SO THATS IN THE BIBLE? you would be pretty amazed at thruths you'll find before you TRY to punch holes and TRY to sound intelligant when you really sound ignorant

No, all insects have six legs. Otherwise, they wouldn't be insects. Some arthropods, of which insects are part, have 8 legs. These are called arachnids. Other arthropods have more legs, including crabs, lobsters, centipedes and millipedes. However, these are not insects.
And then you bring out the old chestnut of not reading the Bible right, which is ridiculous. If god existed and inspired people to write the Bible, why wouldn't it have the right words in it? That would cause many more people to have faith and be saved, which is what god wants after all, right?

It still is amazing that 85% of Americans still have some belief in this book and that about 2/3rds see it as "literal". Makes me think we still live in the dark ages.
This should be the simplest book to decipher and should be completely scientifically accurate. Because after all if this God created science how could such a Being err?
Another example:
The creation account in Genesis divided time into days and the days into evening and morning for three days before the sun was even created (1:1-19). "There was evening and there was morning," we are told, "one day... a second day... a third day," but as any astronomer knows, evening (night) and morning (daylight) result from the earth's rotation with respect to the sun. With no sun, there would have certainly been evening or night, but there could have been no morning.
And then of course this omnipotent being took a nap on the 7th day.
But of course this is all explainable..by faith?

You should read, The empty Tomb, Jesus beyond the grave, by edited by R. Price and J. J. Lowder, Gospel fictions, by Randel Helms, The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Christian Myth, by John Allegro, The Age of Reason, by Thomas Paine Yes, patriot and founding Father or any one of dozens of other well researched and written criticisms of the bible, Christianity or religion in general.
(((Besides In the bible Isaiah and Job it told us the world was round way before 1st grade tought you.)))
The early Hebrews believed the earth was circular, flat like a plate, how else could Jesus or Job (I think it was him) see all the kingdoms to the ends of the earth from the highest mountain?

You should try to do a word study of the Bible before you make comments about scientific explainations (in error) of the Living God. God doesnt make mistakes. Even non-believers (such as yourselves)have a purpose if you want to except it or not. Scientists have never "created" but have "discovered".

hmm.
Scientists discovered the atom bomb? Lasers?
TVs? Cars?
Where did they find these things?
I am going to my back yard and see if I can find a laser or a TV under some rocks. A dvd player would be nice with a surround sound amplifier.

Scientists have "created" several chemical elements. Granted, they're highly unstable, but they were created by scientists. They did, however, use physical laws that they discovered. Of course, the same physical laws state that the universe is over 14 billion years old and expanded from a central point.
And it's "accept" in this usage, not "except."

All you have is grammar corrections? Science has "discovered"(definition= to make known or visible) things that were already here. Did science create "the atom" or was it already here. Did science create "chemical elements" without use of pre existing root elements? The most accurate form of dating fossil's is carbon dating, which has found nothing over 6000-10000 years old. I have scripture to back my words up... how about you?

Jesus said... The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners. But wisdom is proved right by her actions.
James said.. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
Humility is the most attractive quality a person can possess. Pride is the most unattractive.

(((We would not have St Judes Hospital, the YMAC or the Red Cross without Christianity.))) Sorry, the Red Cross was founded as and is a secular charity, in fact some senators wife as the chairperson resigned a couple of years ago because the Red Cross wouldn't take up the Christian cause, number of our older charities were established without a religious bases.
Good people do good and bad people do bad, but to get good people to do bad that takes religion. Or; As long as people believe sins can be forgiven, there will be plenty of sins to forgive.
