Response to the claim: "The claim that the Earth is 6,000 years old is factually false. Overwhelming evidence contradicts this claim. If the Christian makes this claim and I challenge him, we cannot very well agree to disagree.""

"God created the world with age". Ok, so 6000 years ago God created a 4.5 billion year old Earth.

    Now it all makes sense.

Religion is faith. Faith is trusting and beliving something u cant prove. So tring to explain faith with science is stupid and childish.

I agree, but who are you saying this to?? Who is trying to explain faith with science?

Why would god, who wants people to believe, provide evidence that the literal word is not true? If the world *looked* like it was only 6,000 years old, and if we could only see stars out to 6,000 light years that would be significant evidence that the Bible is literally true. I'm sure many more people would "come to god" if this were the case. But it's not.

So you have to ask yourself: Why?

"provide evidence that the literal word is not true"

If the world was created with Age, as some Christians would argue, than what evidence is there that the literal word is not true?
