As he was driving home from a minister's conference, Baptist minister Don Piper collided head-on with a semi-truck at a combined speed of 110mph. He was pronounced dead at the scene. For the next 90 min, Piper experienced heaven. Back on earth, a passing minister who had also been at the conference was led to pray for Don...

This is not a "pitch" for a book. My last post (on the dead being resurrected) went over so well, I felt compelled to submit this.

I do own the book. Some of it is a hard read. Here this guy died, went to heaven, and was sent back down into a torn-up body to bring this testimony to the world. It was a long and painful recovery, but I believe it was the "little touch of heaven" that he was allowed to experience that got him through it. God is kinda hard to figure out sometimes, but this guy was obedient to hang in there and now he has one of the most powerful testimonies of anyone on earth.

Google his name to learn more of his story. Of course, the entire account is in the book.

If this is not a pitch for a book why is the first thing I saw after clicking on "view story" an advertisement for a book for sale and a list of retailers where it can be purchased? Do you honestly believe you were being truthful in your claim "This is not a pitch for a book"?

Where can I buy a book authored by the fellow who claims to have died, gone to heaven and then returned to life? I suspect he may need the cash more so than you do mik.

I, too, was brought back to life. I wasn't hit by a truck, but fell in battle with a worthy foe. A Valkyrie came to me and lifted me up unto Valhalla where we had many days of women, song and tales of great battles, and grog. It was glorious!

But Odin came to me and said that my time for Valhalla was not yet come. I still have many powerful foes to slay on the field of battle in his mighty name!

For the low introductory price of only $11,995 you can own the book that tells all about it. But that's not all! Inside that book you will find the Secrets of the Ages that will allow you to make $7000 over and over again. It is worth every penny!

if you don't stay on track with the story, I'm going to ask you to leave. If you keep it up and remain on the post, I'll ask Propeller to yank you. Ricky Dawkings pulled this juvenile banter for a while. He doesn't come around anymore. I don't mind anyone on my submissions, IF they're going to discuss, or even debate. But I'm not going to tolerate destructive hecklers attempting to derail the flow of discussion. Understood?

Hey Mike, don't worry about this unwashed heathen polluting your threads any more. You may see me from time to time if I spot your delusional ramblings, but I'm removing you from my contact list. I've grown weary of your spam.

Mikhurst, you are so desperate to "prove" your religious beliefs that you grasp at straws, it would be funny if it weren't so sad. You accept as true a satirical story from the Onion about children wanting to become witches and now a book claiming someone died went to heaven and returned. Your need to have your faith validated makes you (and others) credulous that you become easy marks.

re:"Mikhurst, you are so desperate to "prove" your religious beliefs that you grasp at straws" -> thank's for your opinion.

re:"it would be funny if it weren't so sad." -> thank's again for your opinion.

re:"You accept as true a satirical story..." -> can you validate the story not true?

re:"about children wanting to become witches" -> can you validate the quotes from the children are fabricated?

re:"now a book claiming someone died went to heaven and returned." -> are you calling this man a liar?

re:"Your need to have your faith validated..." -> thank's for the free "faith evaluation". Aren't you one of those guys who don't believe in a need for "faith"? I lovingly call your sort, "faitheists" :-)

re:"you become easy marks" -> PLEASE! One of you guys tell us, what are you trying to "save" us from?
