TELEGRAPH:
Cameron -
He attacked the attitude of councils that refuse to celebrate Christmas as "nonsense" and expressed concern at the way traditions are being eroded in schools.
He said: "Christmas is something that we celebrate as a country and should be in schools. Of course Muslims want to celebrate Eid and Jews, Passover, but you don't build a stronger country by denying Christmas.
"This has never made any sense to me at all. And the idea that anyone ever could be offended by a Christmas card that says "Merry Christmas and happy new year" and we've got to send one saying "Season's greetings"; I think it's just insulting tosh.

TELEGRAPH:
Trevor Phillips, chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission -
I can't help feeling there's sometimes an underlying agenda to use this great holiday to fuel community tension. That's why I asked leaders in different religious communities to join me in saying: 'It's time to stop being daft about Christmas. It's fine to celebrate and it's fine for Christ to be the star of the show.'"
"The logic is baffling: to welcome Eid and Diwali and Hanukkah in celebration of our glorious diversity, whilst brushing Christmas under the carpet as an embarrassing episode in our mono-cultural past."

Op-Ed:
Britain has become a nation devoid of the Power or the Presence of Christ.
Compared to other quote 'Christian' nations of the world, there are very few believers whom KNOW Christ. There are loads of pretense and rhetoric but so very few know His Resurrection Power.

It's not like there aren't roving bands of atheists out there burning Christmas tree farms and destroying nativity scenes. If companies thought that saying "Happy Holidays" was going to lose them money, they'd switch back to "Merry Christmas."
I think Christians are just upset that more and more people are choosing not to be like them. 30% of people, by a recent poll, say they're irreligious.
If you want to make converts, try not acting like your values are under attack and start feeding the hungry and helping the poor.
Once Easter and Christmas stop being Federal holidays, then you can start complaining about how you're being persected.
