The main sources of this bigotry are not surprisingly found on the radio, but among the presidential candidates, Mitt Romney has, perhaps ironically, proven the most hateful and close minded of the bunch. He wasn't getting my vote anyways, but it doesn't seem like he's in any position to spurn anyone, especially when (at least from my experience) there's a lot less patience or understanding for Mormons than non believers.

You don't understand, it's not like athiests and agnostics vote based on people's religious beliefs, we just want an end to the bigotry.

How do you call it bugotry when the ones running are comming out and saying exactly what they believe in. To me it would be bigotry if they lied about it. In a few cases it has not been a plus for their run for office, but it is atleast honest.

Perhaps it was because bigotry is not lying. Bigotry is prejudice. Lying about it would be hypocrisy. Oh wait, the faithful presidential hopefuls are mostly both. Never mind.
