Hagee and Parsley: Charlatans. And they know it.

Religion – This is what the good people of America are up against. There is not an insignificant group of madmen enabling the chief madman and his cohorts. Ignorance is a terminal blessing for them. They won't be influenced by facts. They are proud that they listen only to Limbaugh "to get the truth".

Obama is TIED to his pastor.

He said so in his landmark Martin Luther Kingesque speech in Philadelphia. Because it was ok as long as Wright was anti-American and anti-white.

But once the pastor went anti-Obama, that's when Obama dumped him after 20 years. What a phony!

It is the millstone around Obama's neck and why he can't possibly win in Nov.

Hagee and Parsley's relationships pale in comparison. They are too loose to be tied to McCain.

And McLame is married to Hagee and won't be excused until he "divorces" Hagee like Obama did with Wright.

avatar
Reply

Umm, no. Obama said it himself: He can't separate himself from Wright, anymore than he can his own grandmother.

McCain never said anything that stupid about Hagee.

Link Obama's last speech and show where he supports even ONE of Wrights statements...oh nevermind you are beyond hope.Enjoy the neocon rule while it lasts.

Meanwhile...expect much more reporting on McSame's hateful spiritual advisor LOL!

Obama should have thrown Wright under the bus in Philadelphia! Obama didn't, and thus okayed his hate for America by proxy.

ONLY when Wright said that Obama will say whatever he has to to get elected, that's the time Obama chose to dump him?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

Check Electoral-Vote.com. Obama doesn't get a single southern state!

I just realized that your problem with Obama is he doesn't adhere to you and your ilk. If Obama should have thrown rev wright under the buss, McCain should have toss his two into hell where they belong and will end up. It is...whatever you are a jackass!

Locky,

Quit lying, at least about something so obvious. You embarrass and shame your family.

You know as well as anybody that Obama dumped Wright several weeks ago and this is a non story.

However, what is up with McCain defending his endorsement by that bigot Rev Hagee? Please explain your thoughts, original or otherwise.

avatar
Reply

Not only has Obama already distanced himself from Wright, he was chided for 'throwing Wright under the bus', like he supposedly did to his grandmother.

What is this obsession with buses all of a sudden?

I wonder where the phrase comes from.

Only in your mind Locky.

He dumped Wright a long time ago.

Now, the question is, what on earth and in heaven is up with the 30 year plus relationship between the Republican Party and Rev. Moon, you know, the modern day Messiah.

Why has the Republican Party been hiding their relationship with the new Messiah, since as the Rev Moon preaches, the old one (Jesus) failed? Why keep such glory and joy a secret??

Share Republicans, share with us!!

"Hagee and Parsley's relationships pale in comparison. They are too loose to be tied to McCain."

Hagee has endorsed McLame (over Huckabee - the biggest nut who's willing to voice his Christian nuttyness). McLame has said recently (despite all the scary truths about Hagee coming out recently) that he is glad to have Hagee's support.

Not too hard a relationship to figure out. The ties are pretty obvious.

As far as I've been able to find, McCain only denounced one statement of Hagee's, the one about the Catholic church being the Great W**re. Apparently it's okay that Katrina was a punishment for gays, that confrontation with Iran is necessary to bring about the End Times, and that all Muslims are commanded to kill Christians and Jews.

Parsley is a whole other ball of wax. Man, that guy is a full-bore whack-job. What's next? McCain calling for the pardon of Kent Hovind?

avatar
Reply

If McCain really believes this crap he's as insane as Bush. If he's just sucking up to radical religious conservatives, he's being a con-artist like Bush. Hagee and and Parsley are whack jobs or con-artists or both.

Pope Benedict and the cleverness, intellectual rigor and theological precision that he has challenged both Muslim and Christian radicals, his adherence to international law as defined initially by Friar Francisco Suarez nearly 400 years ago, his wisdom in getting Priests out of the gospel of liberation and politics and back to moral guidance way ahead of the recent "evangelical manifest" that protestants have put together, and his efforts at reconciling muslim, christian and jewish scholars makes people like Hagee, Parsley and Wright look immoral, theologically ignorant, lacking in intelligence and delusional in general.

" his wisdom in getting Priests out of the gospel of liberation"

This isn't wisdom. It's politics. Liberation theology is perfectly compatable with Catholicism, thankfully, and Romero is a much better example of Orthopraxy than Benedict.

"his efforts at reconciling muslim, christian and jewish scholars makes people like Hagee, Parsley and Wright look immoral, theologically ignorant, lacking in intelligence and delusional in general."

True enough.

Give unto Caesar what is Caesars and unto God that which is God's.

liberation theology is not compatible with christian doctrine. Christ told his disciples to put their swords down. Judas betrayed him because he would not preach liberation from the Romans.

You know, people like you show their ignorance when you call people names, "McLame, Dumya, Shrub", etc....maybe we should take to calling Obama "Oreo, Obumya, or Odumbya, or some such nonsense, would that be OK?...

Agreed, but I don't see any evidence of you showing ire when Dem candidates are called Obamossoma, b.Hussein, Hellary, etc.

vidman:

look at the names

McLame, Dumya, Shrub, etc talk about character and intelligence, things that are important in a leader

Oreo, Hussein, Obamassama. etc talk about race and ethnicity

but its OK with me if you or anyone wants to insult people, me included

question is why would someone insulting a stranger's character be offensive to anybody-McCain and Bush and Cheney are not friends or relatives of yours, are they?

so why care?

hell I don't even care when people on here call ME names, let alone someone else

I just think the libs look stupid because they come up with the most ridiculous names ever.....most of them are retarded and don't make sense. But hey, sometimes I get a laugh out of how lame they are so keep up the good work.

Hagee and his ilk are espousing a TOTAL APOCALYPSE of the world, starting in the ME, to move up the schedule for the second coming of Christ.

Hagee is not only dangerous, most people would call that insane.

At least Wright exists in the rational world.

avatar

As much as Hagge gets giddy, when going on about the TOTAL APOCALYPSE, that beyond creepy couple I run across on TV occasionaly really sends chills up my spine. Jack Van Impe, with his Jack LaLanne meets Liberace up-doo, and his wife, glefully go on and on about the glory and wonder of the IMPENDING RAPTURE. If any of these wack jobs wants to bow out early, I'm all for it, but I'm looking forward to enjoying each and every minute of this miracle, called life, that we're lucky enough to be experiencing.

OMG!!! I thought the wife's name was Jan so i looked up their website. Besides being no mention of his wife on the website (chauvinism is SO Christlike) the home page proclaims, "CHRIST'S RETURN IS NEAR. DON'T MISS IT FOR THE WORLD." AAAAHHHHH!!!

The difference between apocalyptic Christians, like Hagee, and Muslims, like the leader of Iran, is that apocalyptic Christians believe hell will break out on the earth without their presence (due to the Rapture of the Church). MUSLIMS, though, believe hell will break out on the earth due to them following what their "holy" books and clerics tell them to do to infidels. That hell will come about ON the infidels to the point where Allah will help the Muslim kill infidels. It is here where a rock will cry out and tell the servant of Allah that a Jew hides behind it so the Muslim can kill that Jew. Of course, you, obiefrommuskogee, probably will refuse to believe this and just think I'm evil and insane for reporting this.

Sorry. Not true. There have been many examples of Hagee and such talking about bringing about the apocalypse. Considering that they have the ear of Bush and pushed him into Iraq (and are pushing him into Iran currently), it seems like they're getting their wishes.

As for what Muslims believe, you have absolutely no sense of that except for what your angry, hate-filled preachers tell you. You need help. You are insane.

I take it, Dion, that you, as a Sunni, no doubt, don't believe in the escatology of Shiites? If so, WHAT does YOUR version of Islamic End Times reveal? Please tell, so that others may check it out on the net. I take it that you don't hold to the infamous Sahih Bukhari and his rock crying out in the end times saying, "O Abdullah, O servant of Allah, a Jew hides behind me. Come and kill him"?

The point is that Parsley and Hagee call for the destruction of lives and futures. They could care less how many innocent people die.

When did Wright preach this philosophy?

I have watched all three of the subjects on TV and I don't mean just the snippets that Hannity or the other McCain pundits put on. My conclusion was that of the three, two promote evil deeds, and one complains about past treatment.

For me I believe that Parsley and Hagee are dangerous people and Wright is only an irritation.

Tremenmdous difference there.

Locky`s party has had a 30 plus year relationship with the Messiah, aka Rev Moon.

Now that`s what I call a long-term and deep relationship.

Sure am looking forward to hearing more about that from Locky and others. lol.

Thank you for the link mntnman.

Here is the headline of the lined article.

"The American Right achieved its political dominance in Washington over the past quarter century with the help of more than $3 billion spent by Korean cult leader Sun Myung Moon on a daily propaganda organ, the Washington Times, according to a 21-year veteran of the newspaper."

From the article:

"The apparent goal of downplaying Moon's subsidy has been to quiet concerns that Moon was funneling vast sums of illicit money into the United States to influence the American political process in ways favorable to right-wing leaders â;; and possibly criminal cartels â;; around the world.

Though best known as the founder of the Unification Church, Moon, now 86, has long worked with right-wing political forces linked to organized crime and international drug smuggling, including the Japanese yakuza gangs and South American cocaine traffickers."

As the professional goal-post movers have tried to claim of late, `It`s the relationship`.

Let`s see them explain the Republican Party`s over 30 year relationship with the Rev Moon!

avatar
Reply

Lurch

Unfortunately they won't try to explain it. They will just ignore it like they did Ron Paul. And the mass of the people won't ever know about it, unless we write articles to the local papers and raise it ovr and over again like we are here.

avatar
Reply

That is exactly what needs to happen! We have a duty to our country to spread this knowledge "from sea to shining sea!"

This is an opportunity to do our patriotic duty in a non-violent way. Our country's survival is at stake!

avatar
Reply

Now Lurch wait just a dang-um minute. Don't connect everyone with Moon from the Republican Party. Unless you connect all the Democrats to Wright. That's unfair and you know it.

avatar
Reply

Your statement is unfair because even if you insist that Rev. Wright had a 30 year connection to Obama which has somehow tainted him (absolutely NO evidence it has), you're comparing a one-on-one relationship to a much larger one. When Lurch speaks of Moon's connection to republicans, he's talking about a huge, influential group of people who are under the influence/taking orders from a criminal cult leader. That is a fact, not even an implication, with plenty of evidence to back it up.

avatar
Reply

Cushi , How in the world is my statement unfair. Is it alright for one to connect Moon to Republicans and Not ok for Democrats to be also connected to Wright. Its a two way street my friend. If you want to throw mud you had better look at your hands. They are dripping with wet earth, Mud, in other words.

All three, Wright, Hagee and Parsley have all the earmarkings of anti-social con-artists in the vein of Elmer Gantry.

If Parsely and Hagee are dangerous, what's up with all the gang violence in Wright's hometown of Chicago?

Ya know, if you cannot connect Parsley and Hagee to violence, and all you have is your deliberate distortion of their words, perhaps silence might work better for ya.
