Posted by: Jayson 3 months, 4 weeks agoIn 1947, a Polish priest named Karol Wojtyla made the pilgrimage to a small town to have his confession heard by Padre Pio, the Italian monk with the stigmata wounds on his hands. It was that encounter along with his belief that a prayer by the monk had cured a friend's cancer that helps explain why Padre Pio was fast-tracked for sainthood.
