Clearwater merchants upset over anti-Scientology protests

Religion – About three dozen downtown business owners are upset with a group of anti-Scientology protesters and want the City Council to do something about them. But city leaders Tuesday said there's little they can do. "Suspending the First Amendment is something we shouldn't spend a whole lot of time on," Councilman Paul Gibson said.

"The majority of the business owners who signed the petition are Scientologists"

These people are so far out there...read the doctrine they follow...L. Ron Hubbard a prophet? Of what? Moneymaking? If I were anywhere near Clearwater I would go join up with the protestors for an afternoon. This city is being bought up by these freaks. Ravolta has a home complete with full landing strip just north of Ocala.

Florida already has an all-Catholic City, Ave Maria, in Florida. That was built from the ground up. To some it appears the Scientologists are trying to buy up the city of Clearwater.
