  Taking care of God's creation - a very good thing to do! Appreciate what we have been given and show that appreciation by being responsible and respecting all of God's handiwork :)

  I don't care why nutcases who believe in magic, and race superiority, and denied global warming for 25 years(!) and hold exorcisms do the right thing for our planet.

    Don't thank us.

    The Lord told us to "subdue the earth".

    The sun is burning hotter, that's all.

    The other planets of our solar system are having global warming as well.

    Or do our SUV's affect them too?

  I think the best way to keep plastic out of the environment, is to not throw way the plastic bags you have for groceries. But, we're such creatures of habbit... oh well.

    Every bit helps, I have noticed more stores offering cloth re-usable bags, I am trying to personally make the switch and have a few myself, but the trick is you have to remember to bring them with you to the store in order to use them, something I haven't yet made habit. I'm working to make it a habit though, the re-usable bags don't break, hold more and can be carried more comfortably than the plastic.

      That'll cut down on our oil demand, as well. All plastic needs to be recycled, when possible...
